Modesty

1 Tim 2:9-10: ‘Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control' 
  • Your parents have the final say before you leave the house.
  • How you dress reflects your heart.
  • Body image, certain things you wear attracts the wrong attention, even if it’s unintentional and not meant to be in the manner that you’re dressed in.
  • Flaunting your body(sensual dress) can attract the wrong perception from people you least expect.
  • If you dress with tights on as pants(and that’s not the way they are to be worn), all people are going to see is what’s below your waist, like you’re all that and the same goes for shirts and dresses. people will disrespect you.. Some of your favorite stars dress this way but that’s just for performance purposes. You don’t know how they dress behind the scenes.
  • Purity is something that should be treasured, and sensual dress removes the purity in the heart first, then in the body. 
  • You can stay up to date by accessorizing, wearing the latest hairstyle with the clothes you have now without looking trashy and/or out of date. 
  • Play around with the clothes you have sometimes.
  • Parents, set the example for your girls by not dressing sensual-remember they are watching YOU-you can’t tell them not to put a certain outfit on if you have on one just like it. You are the example.
  • Girls be yourself! It’s okay to have flair and be fully dressed.
SINGLE LADIES:
'It's not MODEST to flaunt "what u got" no matter what your measurements are. Why flaunt it? A true man of God doesn't need or want to see all that until his wedding night. Modesty says if you COVER it, something is left to his imagination, and God gets glory out of that, rather a sister showing all God gave her'...#TRUTH-If a brother sees you, he sees you and there's NOT A THING you have to change, R U N if he immediately decides to tell you what to do and how to look. Something is wrong and that's why God gives us ALL WISDOM and why us single sisters have to get to know people and guard our hearts in EVERY situation.
