SAY WHAT?

I was just discussing with a saint,an issue that is growing worse in many ministries online and face to face houses of worship.

People actually become vexed and jaws puff up, when a leader mentions FINANCES! The teaching of "sowing and reaping" principles bring yawns, immediate deleting of emails, and rapid scrolling past statuses. There is the sound that hits Gods ears of "they always asking for money."

GUESS WHY? Because people are ALWAYS NOT being obedient to the leading of God to GIVE!

We come to websites, expecting it to be up and running, we call in for counseling and teleconference calls, expecting the line to be open, we pull up on the parking lot expecting the lights to be on and  the heat pumping. But we want to put the "complimentary" dollar in the offering plate, and think we really have dobe something great, and KNOW you have $50 in your wallet.....(not everyone, but SOME).

A God sent man or woman of God whom you KNOW is serving God and laboring in ministry 24/7, putting the ministry needs before themselves, yet has to fast, pray and trust God to make a way for every project, conference, outreach program etc. Running a ministry is a major undertaking, and YES it takes faith, but like everything else, it takes money!!!

Dont cause your ministry leader to shed tears and nearly beg to fulfill what God has entrusted to them to carry out!

Thats muzzling the ox thats treading out the corn! making it difficult by tying their hands....smh, It honestly makes me cry when I think how those SAME people go to those leaders and ask for prayer or handouts to pay THEIR BILLS at their house, but take no thought for Gods house, or even that leaders home situation.

A leader should not have to sit in the dark at home, with candles, just to keep the lights on at church, because they used their household bill money to pay it, or their housenote gets behind because the rent on the church was paid, but only by THE LEADER!

Membership means we are ALL in this together as a team, a family! We read the blogs on websites together, we shout in church together...we need to sow seeds together!

Lets take this to the Word:

Haggai 1:2-9 NKJV
“Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” ’ ” Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “ Is it  time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple  to lie  in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages  to put  into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. “ You  looked for much, but indeed  it came to  little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that  is in  ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.
